The Centre is devoted to offer impartial and efficient alternative dispute resolution service including arbitration and mediation The arbitrator's fee and administrative fees are fixed taking into account the actual expenses incurred and keeping in view the aim of the Center to encourage and propagate use of ADR mechanisms in India and France. Fees are fixed in each case in accordance with the schedule of fees and are borne equally by both parties to the dispute, unless the parties agree otherwise. fee

2) Specialized Panel of Arbitrators / Mediators

The Centre maintains Panel of qualified and experienced arbitrators and mediators. They are selected on the basis of expertise and include some of the foremost experts in law, trade, economics, business practices as well as other fields in order to give definite resolutions to diversified disputes, thus guaranteeing Centre of the highest aptitude and proficiency. 3) Code of Ethics

The mediators and arbitrators are well-trained in dispute resolution and are required to adhere to strict ethical standards as set by the Centre.

4) Rules Governing the Proceedings

The arbitration and mediation proceedings are guided by a pre established set of rules of proceedings which in turn leaves wide discretion to the parties with regard to the choice of arbitrators & mediators, the venue for conducting the proceedings and the applicability of the procedural rules. The Rules provide guidelines on the arbitration and mediation process and must be adhered to so as to ensure validity of the proceedings.

5) Confidentiality

Hearings at the Centre are held in confidence unless the parties otherwise agree. Neither the employees nor the mediators / arbitrators to the case are permitted to disclose the details of an arbitration case.

6) Excellent support facilities and services

The Centre can, under conditions to define, provide logistics, technical and Secretarial assistance to parties for holding arbitration & mediation hearings.

7) Information Dissemination Centre

The Centre acts as a information dissemination centre. The Centre provides free assistance to parties in the following areas:

  • provide information on using a arbitration and mediation clause in contracts
  • assist parties in selecting the mediators and arbitrators
  • Providing centre's rules on arbitration and mediation when requested
