HOW TO COMMENCE A PROCEEDING?

Any Party wishing to commence arbitration proceedings/mediation proceedings under these rules (Claimant) shall give a notice of request for mediation/arbitration to the Centre .

The notice of request (application) shall be accompanied by:-

  • the names and full addresses of the parties
  • original or duly certified copies of the mediation or arbitration agreement which appointed Centre to settle the disputes.
  • Statement of the claim and facts supporting the claim, points at issue and relief or remedies sought with other details of the claimant's case
  • Registration fee of €1000 for administering the claim in mediation/arbitration proceedings under its rules.
The case may be filed by both the parties who have already agreed to refer their disputes by virtue of contractual provisions and in the absence of such a provision, the party that wishes to organize an arbitration / mediation may submit a joint application to the Centre.
